# Sports Day – Track & Field Results Round-Up

Our returning Sports day proved to be a tremendous success, with athletes of all ages producing outstanding performances across both track and field events. The day was filled with exciting races, impressive jumps and throws, and plenty of determination, sportsmanship, and enjoyment.

## Girls' Track Events

### U6 & O5 Girls

The youngest athletes got the day underway in style, with Isla Reid taking first place in the 60m sprint ahead of Clodagh Mofat.

### U8 & O6 Girls

Mia Cichocka-Dyglys enjoyed a superb day, winning both the 60m and 80m races. Lori Barrett finished second in the 60m, while Layla Hallinan secured third in the 60m and second in the 80m. Charlotte Deacy completed the 80m podium.

### U10 & O8 Girls

Eve Williams claimed victory in the hurdles and later added the 200m title. Lucy Clarke won the 100m sprint and finished runner-up in both the hurdles and 200m. Aisling Glancy secured podium finishes in the hurdles and 200m, while Keva Newell finished third in the 100m.

### U12 & O10 Girls

Sadie Clarke won the hurdles event and later added third-place finishes in both the 100m and 200m races. Eve McHale dominated the age group, winning the 100m, 200m, and 600m events. Siomha Whelan was runner-up in all three races, while Ysanne Harrison secured third place in the 600m.

### U14 & O12 Girls

Aisling McHale completed a sprint double by winning both the 100m and 200m races. Blaithin Cunnane finished second in both events and added another medal in the 800m. Grace Tighe claimed victory in the 800m and also secured a medal in the 200m, while Farrah Jackson and Arianna O'Flynn also reached the podium.

## Girls' Field Events

### Long Jump

Lucy Clarke (U10), Sadie Clarke (U12), and Aisling McHale (U14) claimed their respective Long Jump titles.

### Shot Putt

Aisling McHale continued her remarkable day by winning the U14 Shot Putt competition ahead of Farragh Jackson and Blaithin Cunnane.

### Long Puck


Eve Williams won the U10 competition, Flori Garvin claimed victory in the U12 event, and Aoise Maguire topped the U14 competition. Arianna O'Flynn, Grace Tighe, Penny McHale, Eve McHale, Karli Newell, and Abigail Foley all secured podium places.

## Boys' Track Events

### U6 & O5 Boys

Liam Judge led home Alex Judge and Cillian Newell in the 60m sprint.

### U8 & O6 Boys

Conor O'Flynn completed a sprint double, winning both the 60m and 80m races. Ray McHale finished second in both events, while Aiden Foley claimed third place in each race.

### U10 & O8 Boys

Rory Tighe won the hurdles and the U9 & O8 100m sprint. Tadhg McHale took victory in the U10 & O8 100m, while Cillian McHale claimed the 200m title. Noah Hallinan featured consistently on the podium throughout the day.

### U12 & O10 Boys

Joe Tighe won the hurdles and later captured the 200m title. Kyle Molloy won the 100m sprint, while Charlie McGuire triumphed in the 600m and added medals in both sprint events. Jamie Sweeney also enjoyed a strong day with multiple podium finishes.

### U14 & O12 Boys

Jakub Wiacek claimed victory in the 100m event. Darragh McHale won the 800m, with Archie Williams finishing second.

## Boys' Field Events

### Long Jump

Tadhg McHale won the U10 title, while Joe Tighe claimed victory in the U12 competition. William Jackson and Cian O'Flynn also reached the podium.

### Shot Putt

Archie Williams secured first place in the U14 Shot Putt event.

### Long Puck

Elliot Forde won the U10 competition ahead of Ruairc Mulligan and Conan Garvin. William Jackson claimed victory in the U12 event, with Aran Maguire second and Joe Tighe third.

### Ball Throw

William Jackson completed a field double by winning the Ball Throw competition. Joe Tighe finished second, while Kyle Molloy secured third.

* Joe Tighe – winner in hurdles, 200m and Long Jump, plus medals in Long Puck and Ball Throw
* William Jackson – double throwing champion and Long Jump silver medalist
* Lucy Clarke – 100m champion, hurdles and 200m silver medalist, Long Jump champion
* Grace Tighe – 800m champion with medals in the 200m, Long Jump and Long Puck
